When Laura and Zac asked us to shoot their engagement session on Laura's family farm in Yeoval, we were so excited!
As we drove down their 5km long driveway to their homestead, I hung out the window yelling to John, "We should shoot over there.. or there!..".
By the time we reached the house, I had a million ideas already. Laura had an extra special request; to bring their beautiful baby boy along for a few family photos as well. Of course I said yes because, well, this wasn't just ANY baby.. this little boy was in the humidity crib next to Carter when Carter was in the NICU at Penrith's Nepean Hospital.
Laura and Zac live and work on Laura's family's BREATH TAKING farm and John and I were so excited to jump in their 4x4 and drive across their beautiful property, watching the previous location completely disappear into the distance as we arrived at the next location.
As Zac got into position and removed his sunnies, I asked him if he wanted his hat off too, "Nah, I never take my hat off", he said, reminding me that, even at the NICU, I don't think I ever saw him without one.
"It's who he is", says Laura, completely and irrevocably in love with the man she's about to marry in less than three weeks!
This session was gorgeous! It made me so sad to be moving back to New Zealand -- Tauranga does not have views like this! We watched the sun go down behind the rolling hills of the Goobang National Park and I thought, 'Why would I ever want to do anything else with my life?!'.
Laura and Zac, thank you for inviting us out to that jaw dropping property! We hope you all like this little peek at Laura and Zac's engagement session.
